Taking on sections of the famous Ullswater Way, runners can choose from three incredible distances, including a 10 mile trail run, a challenging 21.5 mile Trail 20 route, or the ultimate 33.5 mile ultra distance that follows the full Ullswater Way with additional Lowther and Dalemain loops.
The course takes runners along scenic trails that wind around the shores of Ullswater, through peaceful woodland and across dramatic Lakeland terrain, delivering a true Lake District trail running experience.

Runners are required to carry all of the items listed on the compulsory kit list and must be a minimum of 16 years old on the day of the race for the Trail 20 and Trail 10 or a minimum of 18 years on race day for the Trail Ultra. Entries close either when the event is full or midday on the Friday prior to race day.
The Start Location for the Ultra and Trail 20 Distance is at Jenkins Field in Glenridding along with Registration & Race HQ, at the Southern tip of the lake. However, the Trail 10 Start is in Pooley Bridge at the Northern end of the lake. This requires Trail 10 runners to Register at Race HQ on Jenkins Field with the other runners but then make their way to the Trail 10 Start in Pooley Bridge.
There will be an Event Coach that will transport Trail 10 runners to the start but this is an optional extra at £10 and if required must be booked in advance. Trail 10 Runners can make their own way from Registration at Glenridding to the Start at Pooley Bridge if they wish or reserve a seat on the event coach at the point of entry. Trail 10 Runners – please ensure you have transport to the start either on the pre-booked event coach or by using your own transport.
For the safety of our runners and the team of volunteer marshals Ultra runners must reach the Pooley Bridge Feed Station at 18.5 miles into the route by 2:30pm (6.5 hrs from the start) then reach Aira Force Feed Station at 30.5 miles by 6:30pm (10.5 hrs from the start) and finally runners must reach the Finish at Glenridding by 7:30pm (11.5 hrs from the start).
Unfortunately it is not possible to run with a dog at this event. Dogs are more than welcome as supporters with well behaved owners at the start /finish area but please do not take part in the race with your dog.
