Join us at the inaugural XMiles Preston Half Marathon & 10k on Sunday 27th September – a brand new running event coming to the city in 2026 and the final event in the XMiles North West Road Run Series!

The route will Start and Finish in the unique and historic Winckley Square, one of the finest Georgian Squares in the region, and includes a trip into the heart of Preston along Fishergate before heading towards and into the beautiful Avenham and Miller Parks then running along the River Ribble to cross over at Walton Bridge to start the journey back to the city centre via the Old Tram Road and Nature Reserve before crossing the Ribble again at Penwortham Old Bridge and running back through the parks and into Winckley Square for the Finish.

The Half Marathon will include 2 laps of this stunning and historic route with the 10k 1 lap. It’s the perfect loop to fit in all of the best bits that Preston can offer whilst remaining never too far away from Event HQ and the awesome support of family and friends! The routes are Fully UKA Licensed with HM & 10k courses accurately measured and officially certified distances.

Half Marathon (min. age = 17 years on Race Day)

Entries will close either when the event is full or on the Friday prior to race day at 12noon.

Cut off Times:
Due to the strict limits on timings of the Road Closures all Half Marathon runners will be required to have passed halfway and started the 2nd lap before 1100hrs, to enable the roads to re-open as scheduled.
