Round 1 of the Petzl Night Runner Series takes place at Delamere Forest with Event HQ and the Start/Finish based from the main Visitor Centre. As with all of our Night Runner events, fancy dress is actively encouraged and the theme for Delamere is “Spooky Halloween”. The Forest is an incredible trail running venue, especially with 100s of other runners at night and the course looks stunning marked with reflective directional signs. All you need is a head torch to light your path and some ‘grippy’ shoes to deal with the forest terrain!
In addition to our famous 10k race, we’ve retained the Half Marathon distance, first introduced in 2024. There’s also a free kids event with medals for all finishers, so bring the family along and enjoy an Epic night out at Petzl Night Runner Delamere Forest.

What do I need to enter:
The route is fully marked with reflective signs but runners will need a good quality head torch or hand held torch lighting the track ahead to safely navigate around the route. The terrain is mainly well established trail but there are some potentially muddy/slippery sections therefore good quality trail or fell type shoes, with an aggressive tread are recommended. As it’s winter, runners will also need warm clothing and it’s also recommended to carry/wear a wind or waterproof jacket. The minimum age is 16 years on race day, although there is a free 1k event for young children on the night.
How much to enter:
The cost to enter the Petzl Night Runner Delaware Forest is £32 for the 10k distance and £39 for the Half Marathon. Entries will close either at 12 noon on the Friday prior to the event or when the event fills, whichever occurs first.
Included within your entry is:
