

Join us at the inaugural XMiles Bolton Half Marathon & 10k on Sunday 1st March – a brand new event coming to Bolton in 2026!

The route will Start and Finish in historic Queen’s Park and includes a trip into the town centre following much of the infamous Ironman run course including passing by the the iconic Bolton Town Hall built in 1866 and the stunning Le Mans Crescent nicknamed the “Hollywood of the North” due to its frequent appearances in TV and Film including Peaky Blinders, It’s a Sin, Fool Me Once, Top Gear and even Coronation Street.
The Half Marathon will include 3 laps of this stunning and historic route with the 10k 1.5 laps. It’s the perfect loop to fit in all of the best bits that Bolton can offer whilst remaining never too far away from Event HQ and the awesome supporters! The routes are Fully UKA Licensed with HM & 10k courses accurately measured and officially certified distances.

Half Marathon (min. age = 17 years on Race Day)

Entries will close either when the event is full or on the Friday prior to race day at 12noon.

Cut off Times:
Due to the strict limits on timings of the Road Closures all Half Marathon runners will be required to have turned back into Queen’s Park from Park Road on the final lap before midday, this is approx 10.75 miles into the route to enable the roads to re-open as scheduled.
