PLEASE NOTE – ‘Southport Triathlon 2019 hosts both the Triathlon England National Standard Distance Triathlon Championship 2019 and the BUCS Standard Distance Triathlon Championship 2019. These two races are separate from each other, with only Triathlon England Championship medals and titles being awarded to those eligible competitors taking part in the Triathlon England Championship waves, and BUCS Championship prizes and titles being awarded to those racing in the BUCS Championship waves.

Any member of Triathlon England taking part in the BUCS waves will NOT be eligible for Triathlon England Championship medals or titles or qualification places for the 2020 ETU Championships; vice-versa, any BUCS competitor taking part in the Triathlon England Championship waves will NOT be eligible for BUCS Championship prizes or titles.

An amendment to British Triathlon Competition Rule 24.4.a has been approved by the British Triathlon Technical Committee to reflect the above statement. In order to be eligible to compete for a Triathlon England medal or title, individuals must ensure their race licence is valid no later than 5pm on Wednesday 15 May 2019.’
