Petzl Night Runner Delamere Forest – 25th October 2025

Round 1 of the Petzl Night Trail Running Race Series takes place at Delamere Forest. The start and finish venue is based from the main visitors centre. As with all of our night runner races, fancy dress is actively encouraged and the theme for Delamere is “Spooky Halloween”. Delamere is a great trail running venue and the course will be marked with reflective signs. All you need is a head torch to light your path and some ‘grippy’ shoes to deal with the mud!

In addition to our famous 10k race, we have retained the new Half Marathon distance, first introduced in 2024. There’s also a free kids event with medals for all finishers so bring the family and enjoy and EPIC night out at Petzl Night Runner Delamere Forest.

Start Times:
Half Marathon = 1800hrs
10k = 1900hrs

What do I need to enter:
The route is fully marked with reflective signs, but you will need a good quality head torch or hand held torch to light the track ahead so you can safely get round the course. The terrain is varied and often very muddy, so road shoes are not adequate. Ensure that you have good quality trail or fell type shoes, with an aggressive tread. As it’s winter, you’ll need warm clothing and we recommend everyone carries or wears a wind or waterproof jacket. The minimum age is 16 on the day, although there is a free 1k event for young children on the night.

How much to enter:
The cost to enter the Petzl night trail running race is £32 for the 10k distance and £39 for the Half Marathon which includes a custom designed Finisher’s Medal. As always, there will be the option to purchase custom Night Runner merchandise at the point of entry. Entries will close either at 12 noon on the Friday prior to the event or when the event fills, whichever occurs first.

Included within your entry is:
Custom Glow in the Dark Finisher’s Medal
Electronic timing
Event photographs – Free to download in Hi-Res
